Raised by Boisselot (1885) in France. A great old classical clematis with well formed slightly creamy white flowers and golden yellow anthers. The overlapping tepals produce a full rounded flower, the flower colour maturing to pure white. The foliage is always of a good colour and strong in constitution, remaining green well into the autumn. In mild locations, the flowers can be produced as late as early winter. Suitable as a cut flower. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
