Raised by John Huxtable in England and given to the author by Rowland Jackman for introduction. A chance seedling from cl. 'Comtesse de Bouchaud' which has retained most of its parent's characteristics, except having a creamy white flower colour. It is a most useful white flowered clematis which is rare in this group. The flowers are 10cm (4in) in diameter, the white tepals are offset by yellow-white anthers. Free flowering.
