Raised in Berlin in 1891 by Späth. A very rewarding free flowering, strong growing plant which flowers over a long period. 15-18cm (6-7in) wide flowers with mid-blue tepals, darker when first open. Full flower with deep red anthers. Suitable as a cut flower. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
