Raised by Watkinsons Clematis Nursery, Yorkshire, England, in 1992. A very pretty free flowering clematis with stunning sapphire blue pointed tepals which deepen in colour with age. The flowers are 10-12cm (4-5in) in diameter and have open creamy yellow anthers. Due to its compact habit it makes an ideal plant for a container, bringing useful colour to a patio in mid-summer.
