Raised by Anderson Henry of Edinburgh in 1870, receiving the RHS Award of Merit in 1873. A splendid clematis that has proved its garden worthiness in the last 124 years. A great favourite of North American gardeners. The white 15-20cm (6-8in) wide flowers are well formed and have contrasting chocolate brown anthers. Flowering over a long season. Suitable as a cut flower. RHS Award of Garden Merit
